Limbo Game Review

Horror Stories , We all heard them from our elders , Children eating witches , dark magical forests and the monsters that will feast with the flesh of the little kids. What happens to these kids in this game ? They go to Limbo imagine all those children wandering around mist without any aim and waiting in this endless purgatory. This is a the ultimate nightmare for a kid. Eventhough the game is quite fun to play you will mostly face these darkness in the design of the Limbo

Well as I said Limbo game is a mysterious universe that will lure you in inside the atmosphere of the game while you are playing. You play from a little boys shadow perspective in the game after you woke up in a dark world. The design of this game is amazing and it is quite dark and bleak only 50 shades of gray , black and white. This is basicly another 2D platform game like I mention in Super Meat Boy you just need to walk from left to right and overcome the obstacles and monsters and also Riddles. Eventhough these obstacles starts as easy little things like climbing up a rope or jumping over a boulder , it will become trickier when you struggle to get rid of this Limbo Universe. Basicly this little kid lost in the depth of the Limbo and you need to save him from his misery and confusion.

Well I must say that you won't be easily save this kid from his misery and confusion , Limbo universe is not a friendly universe we just need to agree on this one. There is death lurking around every shadow , Giant Spiders , Head chopping plants weird traps so get ready some fierce gameplay while you are playing from a perspective of a 8 years old kid. Also these traps are not obvious so you just need to experiment it in the Limbo universe by dying a lot and you will learn from your mistakes. You are definetely going to need a stairway to heaven to save yourself from this hell like Led Zeppelin Said

All that glitters is gold

When she gets there she knows

The game actually has a lot of episodes and constantly changing episodes , you just spend first half learning the game after that the second half you will see some monsters and you need to use your previously learned mechanics from the first part and I must admit that the second part is the most evil and dark part you need to walk through pile of corpses and you need to beat evil giant monsters , however in the 3rd part things get a little trickier and you need to use your brain and your physic knowledge if you really want to get rid of from this world which filled with darkness. Because shift in gravity and solving riddles will become a little tricky if you want to finish this game in one go.

To sum up the story of the game is looping , and it has an open ending and it will develop you intellectually after spending couple of hours in Limbo Universe , well it won't haunt you in your nightmares but it will definetely affect your soul while you are playing this game. The design and graphics definetely reflects and gives the players a quick peak of what does it means to be trapped , a simulation of a purgatory.
