Our previous lockdown due to Covid-19
Covid-19 started to attack Bangladesh from February, 2020. And after first case, the rate of Covid-19 case became too high. So from March 18, 2020, our government imposed lockdown on us. All of our educational institutions, industrial sectors and everything was closed then. We stucked at our home. There was no option to go out from home. And that's why it was a very tough time for us. I am writing this post to share some brutal experience of myself during that lockdown.
At first because of lockdown, people was unable to go their workplace. Though no workplace was open then. So for daily need they started to collect money from their savings which they had saved by years after years. Although less people had their savings as most of our day labor lives from hand to mouth. And who had savings, the amount of that savings were not too big for most of that people. That's why after some days they had no money and had to starve or they had to beg help to rich or capable. Our corrupted government had less focus on us. I saw many people to starve. That is so patheticbin this 21th century. All money is now in some specific hand. I saw in a slum a children were crying because he was hungry, his father sat beside. But he had nothing to do. But how a father can bear such a situation! I can't understand.
Beside the problem of food, people suffered a lot from mental health. Stucking a lot of days in home, many of us were suffering form mental health extremely. Elder people had a lot of sickness of mental health, let alone children and young people. Particularly, when a young people were suffering from mental health, he gave in wrong way and took drug. And I personally think that drug addiction is one of the vital causes to break social safety and discipline. And it was very true for our society that was practically seen after a while.
There were many other problems too. I pray that Allah never fall us in such situation again.
Thanks for visiting me.
