Giving Randowhale A Shot :)
Good Morning Steemians,
Today i came across a few posts that promoted @randowhale and how he is trying to support minnows and the community in general by upvoting posts with HUUGE Steem Power(SP).
So to get an idea on how it works : You basically donate $2 Steem or $2 (Steem Dollars) SBD and you specify the URL of the post you want him to upvote in the memo on the transaction. And VOILA he'll upvote that post with 0.50%-2.5% of his voting power.
WARNING: anything you send to him worth less than $2 will be considered as a donation !!!
So i did some research and i wanted to time my post by doing :

In a previous post of mine i introduced some helpful and useful tools which allow you to track your voting power.
Currently it's %43.35 which is a bit higher than yesterday's %38, which is good for us :)
Sending Him $2 SBD
And now we play the waiting game :)

I wonder what happens if u send 3$ lol?
Please note that, you are buying with SBD and the reward you get is in US$, not in SBD. SBD value is much higher than US$. Plus a portion of your reward will be allocated to curators. It was profitable when it started out. But now its really hard to make any gain with randowhale as the voting percentage has been reduced to 0.50% to 2.50%.
Even it may incur loss. For example, Right now 2 SBD = US$4.78 according to coinmarketcap. I just purchased a vote where I received US$2.42. So, it's a net loss of $1.43.
With the reduction of his voting % you're right it's no longer profitable but using his services doesn't always have to be about $ because you get more reputation and you get more attention in general besides this was my first time using @randowhale i wasn't really looking for profit :)
