HUNT Token Airdrop will be Renewed

1. Goal of the Airdrop Strategy

Four months ago, we’ve initiated HUNT token airdrops that assigned 50% of the total tokens. The ERC20 will be issued first and then swapped with HUNT tokens when SMT is ready (ERC20 will be ready after we finalise our private token sales/market listing plan).

HUNT token airdrop strategy is designed to achieve three main goals as below:

1. Gather as many product influencers as possible and amplify our community activities.
2. Rather than dumping money for adverts, utilise Steemians as effective ambassadors to promote HUNT project outside of Steem community.
3. Lead token holders to be active users rather than pump-and-dumpers.

We’ve initially set two main categories - 1) 100M tokens for SP holders and 2) 150M tokens for bounty rewards. The airdrop for SP holders, the largest portion of the total airdrops, finished last week. 6,373 Steemians have received a total of 18,195,638.51 HUNT tokens which is 18% of the total tokens we initially allocated.

Instead of burning the 82M tokens, we decided to renew the whole airdrop strategy for two reasons: First, burning that amount of tokens will largely increase the portion of the company and private investors. Second, we need to accelerate our tractions as much as we can until the SMT system is ready so that HUNT platform can be one of the most success cases using SMT. We believe that the success of SMT relies on how many projects are built on top of it with a large number of real users. Steemhunt has about 19K monthly active users at the moment, and our goal is to make at least 300K active users by the end of this year.

2. Airdrop Strategy Revision

There will be three changes in our airdrop strategy revision to achieve the three goals mentioned above.

1. There won’t be any set “total” tokens on each category. We will accelerate the distributions of 250M tokens as airdrops by constantly tuning up the airdrop categories and the daily set amount.
2. More airdrop categories will be introduced soon, and we will constantly add/finish new airdrop categories so that we can maximise the impact of our airdrop strategy.
3. Daily set amounts on each category will be linked with the amount of value creation to the HUNT project. The daily allocation may also be increased/decreased when the circumstances are changed.

1st Week Result of the Airdrop for Social Sharers

As we announced previously, we initiated the social share airdrop last week. Everyday we assign 90,000 HUNT tokens for people who share hunting posts to their social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. HUNT tokens are assigned based on the share of the total daily traffic generated from all the shared posts via the social channels.

Over the past week, 107 users shared hunt posts via their social channels, and they generated 2,349 new user traffic. A total of 234,900 HUNT tokens have been distributed to them. The token allocations are based on the new user traffic from the shared posts. We exclude all the bot traffic and count only the “real” users. Please join this airdrop if you have a social account.

Weekly Sponsor Rewards
