Beyond the Blockchain - O.c.

A major competitor to the traditional blockchain is a revolutionary innovation called "Tangle"(DAG). The Non-profit Iota Foundation is working on the "Bitcoin Killer" and its implementation & adoption for real world usage since early 2014.

Lets look at Blockchain vs DAG a little more in detail.

In order to reach "consensus" on a blockchain, transactions are approved by miners. Miners get a piece of the pie, which leads to medium/high fees for the user.
In comparison, the Tangle is blockless and no third party are needed. Effectively saving large amounts of energy in the process.
Each user that runs an Iota light or full node confirms two previous transactions. The model is based on the DAG (Directed Asyclic Graph) which is the underlying structure of the Tangle.

Unlimited potential for growth vs structural limitations

As more users join the the Tangle network, the transaction speed also increases. Giving it limitless potential for growth.
