The Aromatic Tulsi Tea - Quick Indians Therapy
Indians were quite famous for drinking Tea. No one knows about history or the origination of Tea, but slowly many people started to like Tea. A hot aromatic beverage like coffee that may make you relax and energize. There are variety of Tea available in market and Indians were also very famous to make different types of tea. Infact adding, Ginger, Tulsi Leafes or Chinnamon while making Tea , it becomes a good medicine and helps you get rid of Headache, Bad throat, Cold or laziness.
Recently, I visited a friend's home, and was very tired. Only feeling like having a hot sip of Tea to get over the tiredness. And I made "Tulsi Tea" for all of us. Tulsi Leafes posses many health benefits, and also we Indians use to worship it. There are many flavoured Tea in market including Tulsi, but we Indians have different way to make Tulsi Tea.
Firstly, we need to have few Tulsi Leafes from the little plant. While plucking those Leafes one can get the nice fragrance of it.
Put these Leafes , into water On a Pan on the stove.
We need to boil them for a while, before further step.
We started to get a aromatic smell of Tulsi. On getting the boiling bubbles from the pan, we will add Tea onto the boiling water.
The colour of the water turns blackish due to Tea. Let the Tea water boils for a minutes. Then add Milk on the pan.
The Whiteness of Milk turns the Blackish Tea colour into Red. In all these the room get filled with the aromatic smell of Tulsi. After getting the mixture boil for few seconds , we can add sugar as per taste.
We let the mixture to boil for few min at low temperature.
The Blackish Tea will now have a good Reddish colour and the aromatic smell of Tulsi makes you to have the Sip right away. We then pour it and have to feel more relax and rejuvenated.
Make sure, while pouring into a tea cup, you have make use of some filter, to prevent the tea particles get into the cup.
For 3 of us, I had arranged following ingredients.
- 15-20 fresh Tulsi Leafes
- a cup of water ( water evaporates while boiling so use accordingly)
- 2 cups of Milk
- 1 1/2 spoon of Tea granules
- 2 spoon Sugar
One can add Ginger too, if you have sore throat or cold. The very first sip of Tulsi Tea simply took away all the tiredness, it has the magical smell too that makes your body feel relax. I enjoyed it. Hope you all will try some Indians way of Tea.
Stay Calm....
Keep Steeming...Steem On !!!

What is tea granules? I assume is black tea. Tulsi is a great plant. Basil. We use it fresh in salads, we cook with it, we boil it and make tea. I like the combination of basil, mint and lemon grass. It is the famous “bush tea” in Caribbean islands. 🍵
Ohh I meant the dry tea that are available in market not the leafy one....oh now I would definately try the bush tea...never had it. But sometimes I make this tea without milk and add pinch of lemon it also taste good

Interesting. Plants around us hsve lots of benefits. We should know more about our surroundings. My mom brings home different leaves from time to time and we just boil them for tea. There are a lot leaves that I don't bother asking what those are lol! I don't know if we have tulsi here. I need to research on that.
Indeed, nature has given us many benefits..and we never knew which plant have benefits and which don't. Tulsi is very common...it is called basil in many parts. ...hope next time you get to know the Leafes using in your tea😉

Yes, I agree.
The only tea that I have been drinking is green tea after a heavy meal. This is actually very interesting and something that I would like to try. But I don't think we have Tulsi leaves here too bad. Aroma from it must be heavenly.
@watersnake101 Tulsi is holy basil. You find it everywhere. 😊
Oh basil. That I know lol.
Green tea is always good for health and after dinner I found it helps in proper digestion especially when we have lots of spicy stuff.
Having these milk tea is great for taste and adding Tulsi or ginger may give you a different taste. I recall we have Tulsi green tea as well....give it a try
