Page Refresh option in Esteem App
In Steemit website, the pages are auto refreshed with each of the new posts. Whenever you scroll to any of the Tabs i.e Trending , New , Hot , Promoted, every time you will see new posts flashing on the page.
However, in Esteem app the best App to access Steemit on the go, we are unable to refresh the pages, To get the refreshed new post,firstly we need to move to another Tab and then come back to the first tab to see the latest posts in that tab. To explain the issue I have presenting some of the images illustration:
Image 1 : I am viewing the feed in my "New Tab" i.e all the new post will appear in the page.
Image 2 : As normally in other window app, the pages gets refreshed by pulling down the screen. I tried too in Esteem app as well to see the new post feed under the New Tab by pulling the screen
Image 3 : Even after refreshing the pages did not get refreshed, I am not attaching any image for this, as the output image is same as in Image 1 (above). To refresh the New post tab, Firstly I moved to some other tab, for that I clicked to see the other folder and chooses one and them again come back to New.
Image 4 : After scrolling back to my New tab, i saw that the pages has been refreshed.
Suggestion
Esteem app is handy for accessing steemit and remain constant active on the platform. As a suggestion to the issue, I would suggest to enable a Refresh button on window alongside the search glass or allow the screen to refresh on pulling down the page.
Manoeuvring from one tab to another, for viewing the refresh posts are bit time consuming. Even I tried to open any post and then checked still the page did not refreshed.

Currently I am accessing the esteem App on following node. I have tried other note as well, however the refresh feature is no where.

Hope I made my thought clear in above illustration. Also, I was bit in confusion to post the issue in "Bug-Hunting" or in "Suggestion". I chose later for the time being.

Thanks for reporting, Refreshing was functional, perhaps there is small bugs, will check and fix that with upcoming release! ;)
