Steem Keys

To login to Steemfiles.com you require Steem keys. This is so we know @reggaemuffin from Steemfiles is @reggaemuffin from Steemit. You can log in to Steemfiles with any of the four keys: memo, posting, active or owner. You may also log in with your master password.

Memo Key vs. Posting Key

If you login with your memo key, you will see a black key next to your id. This key has no power in the Steem blockchain at all. If you login with your posting key, you will see a green key next to your id. The posting key allows for voting and posting. In particular you will be able to vote @steemfiles posts if you login with this key. Later after a period of a week, steemfiles will reward you with space to upload files and sell them for Steem Backed Dollars.

If you login with your active key, you will see a silver key. The active key can be used for voting or posting like the posting key but can also be used for transferring money but Steemfiles does not use this feature. I will not preach here about not using it. I plan to create an advantage to using it in the future.

Finally, the master password is the key, so to speak of all of the private keys. By entering your master password, Steemfiles derives your owner key(gold), your active key(silver), your posting key(green) and your memo key(black).

Any site that you login in with your master password you are trusting with these keys. I will not preach here about that, now.

The Rate between Steem Dollars and US Dollars

1 USD = 1 SBD

Finally, there has been parity between the US dollar and the Steem Dollar for some time now. This was and is the whole intention of Steem Dollars in the first place! For now, you can adjust your prices in Steemfiles to be the USD amount you wish for your products.

Now, I'll preach. When I say "your" products, I mean your products. If you don't feel you should be able to sue someone for uploading this file to steemfiles, it could be someone is legally able and more than willing to sue you! You cannot see the world through a mirror. What seems unreasonable to one may seem perfectly reasonable to others including publishing companies. Save us both a lot of trouble and don't upload works that you don't have a right to distribute (which is pretty much anything you didn't make yourself)

Your need to Vote @steemfiles posts

In order to upload data to steemfiles.com, are now a required to up-vote posts by steemfiles.com. When the posts' rewards are calculated, you will get your reward for voting in terms of "file power" (which is space at Steemfiles.com). Overtime this amount of space is eroded by 33% monthly, but you can replenish it by voting up @steemfiles posts.
