My introduction

I am new to Steemit and to cryptocurrencies. After seeing all the money being made though and those very large percentage gains, I couldn't ignore this any longer. As you might guess, I am into investing. and speculating. I have tried most investments in my life including stocks, bonds, real estate, gold and silver so now I am looking at cryptocurrencies.

I made it a goal back in my 20's to be a millionaire and even though I am now retired, I have not given up. There are more exciting pursuits but I find the great game of investing to be the one for me.

I also enjoy travel and have visited Thailand and Colombia, among others. BTW investing led me to a study of economics and then to politics. Since they have a powerful influence on various investments. A couple of other interests are fitness as I work out regularly at a crossfit gym and I also have a strong faith in God.

Human nature dictates that we all act in our own "perceived" best interest. So a politicians first goal, in general, is to keep his or her job. That means getting something more for their voters than those voters pay. That leads to continuing big spending and big deficits. We are, in the USA, on the same road that Germany took in the 1920's, That Zimbabwe, Argentina, Venezuela now and many others have taken. I wonder how for down this road America will go? IMHO financial self defense has become imperative and this has become a part of it.
