Yes, my hair is longer and I’m tan now, but also take a look at the change in my elbow alignment. I was having some pain in my elbow tendons last year and when I saw that old shot of my chaturanga I saw why. My hands were way in front of the elbows instead of aligned under them, and my shoulders were dipping down.

I don’t really believe in reading yoga alignment books, learning how postures “should” be performed, or making sure that my alignment is perfect. For me, experience is the only real way to KNOW something.

Pain is a powerful teacher.

Thanks dear. :) good tutorial pic

I will try this pose, I have just started yoga. Any tips are welcomed. I hope to get better cause I am doing it alone with no classes, just YouTube videos.

It looks kind of perfect to me! For how long have you been practicing yoga? I just thought about it and it's been... seven years for me!! Time flies!!

Thanks you. I forgot to respond to this earlier. I’ve practiced about 11 years. It has transformed my life.

yoga is a very good habit for health and mind coolness, although it is difficult but always difficult is benefitial

really appreciate your work.

Now you're actually resting on your big toes from what I noticed. For me the most painful was siddhasana that weakened my left knee over time as I forced too much.
I can't even do it now as I had a few years of pause, but at least the more simple ones have became a routine for a few weeks now.

Yes I wasn’t really aware I was on my toes now until I saw the image. I feel lighter now in this pose than 1 year ago... More engagement in my quads, abdominals, bandhas etc allow me to just use my big toes here.

Ah your poor knee. You know what they say...that all the other crazy postures are just so you can sit longer and more comfortably in siddhadana or padmasana for meditation. May you knee be well in time.

More engagement in the quads is somehow obvious with pointed toes, but it means less engagement in the hamstrings, which is a good thing I guess, at least for me because I have to constantly flex my quads in the standing poses, but when do you actually flex your hamstrings, back leg in hanumasana maybe?

Now you have me standing up and checking... 😂 pretty much any standing pose my hamstrings are engaged. For example warriors 1 -3... also camel, or other back bending postures

Yes, but it is more of a coactivation together with the quadriceps. Shortened as my hamstrings are, they engage by themselves contrary to the quads :) But just thought of the standing head to knee pose where you flex your hamstring of the upper leg, while the quad stays passive due to the arms pulling...

That yoga thing though, sincerely it needs consistency. You are a pro @steemed-open

Wow amazing progress, its looks so subtle but I know how hard these seemingly small changes can be, well done!

Thanks. Yes the changes are very subtle visually but I can feel them inside . :)

Great my dear
