Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

All members that upvote consistently are rewarded with a bonus increase in their voting weight.
The maximum boost is given to the member with the most consistent upvoting record. Members with lower records receive a boost based on their voting record relative to the most active upvoter. To get the best benefit, we recommend using @steemvoter or something similar to not miss any update posts.

We can mark you for 0.6 bonus shares after we receive the delegation, and it will still improve the upvotes you receive by a little bit..
I currently have 5 shares but I receive 4% upvote on my post, is that due to not upvoting most of the @steembasicincome posts?

That's a weekly upvote weight of 29.70%. Your 7-day posting history is 9 posts, leaving you with 3.3% per post. I think your posting history was a little lower before, which is why your upvote % was 4% instead of 3%.

We look at your frequency of voting and that you vote at 100%. We don't look at how high your voting power is at the time of your vote. If you establish a habit of upvoting, your steem basic income will help your SP to grow, and over time we all benefit!

Yes, we try to get out an update post or information on the program's performance on a daily basis and we publish a full member list on a weekly basis.
