Last Scenes from Florida

Views that I never get tired of:

Last view of our canal before we sold our house.

Many times I would pick these turtles up and re-direct them as they had a tendancy to wander out into traffic. And, yes, this was one of the turtles that I picked up to re-direct :)

Sandpipers always make me smile...why is it that they don't like getting their feet wet?

These are sharks teeth that we collected in a few hours on the beach. I could never understand why people would willingly go swimming in the ocean when they can see many people like myself collecting sharks teeth on the beach in front of them.

Amazing sunsets!

I could listen and watch the ocean waves for hours.

Fantastic beach views!

Our vehicle and jet skis headed north, and I always love to fly!

These are all my photos

I hope you enjoyed my post because I enjoyed making it!

The sharks teeth look rad.
I remember when I was a kid and we used to go apple scrumping..
That's street talk for robbing apples from peoples back gardens .. lol

And one time a friend gave me a sharks tooth.
He said it was from a great white!!
It was about the size of your thumbnail :D
I believed him though and took this tooth in my pocket everywhere I went.
But during one afternoon of apple scrumping, I lost it!
It must of fell out of my pocket and into the grassy growth.
I could never find it and was deeply sad for weeks :(

Thanks for the nice read. It looks a lovely place.
Cheers Jeff.

Lol Apple robbing or garden raiding when we were kids never got old! Bummer about losing that tooth, but I hope you can find one of your own. Thanks for the memories!!

I have collected some sharkteeth even in the westcoast of sweden, very old like stone of course! I like the beautiful tigers! They are majestetic! I like Greece I lived in Crete for four ears! It is a very beautiful Iland with high mountains! Dont forget to check my artwork, my fractals!

That would be too cool to collect the sharks teeth in Sweden, and lucky you to have lived in Crete!! Thanks for looking at my post :)

I am sure you are going to miss this place, it has so much to offer. I can sense your emotions flowing in the pictures. Beautiful pictures. Wish you all the very best for your new home and I have no doubts that it will be as good as this or even better.

We have lovely beaches in Greece where I usually collect shells and pebbles that I like, but the shark teeth made me jealous!!! I wish I could find some (not in any body part of mine of course)

How come you left such a beautiful place?

We left because we got a terrific offer and we’ve got even better places lined up to rent for the next 2 years! I was also quite concerned with being a foreign investor with the debt that the USA is in.

Beautiful photos! Are you going to miss it? Your morning coffee view was spectacular! Finding shark teeth sounds like fun, too. Well, fun for people with decent eyesight, anyway!

That turtle looks like a big one! I'm glad you are helping them out a little, though I wonder if they head inland to lay eggs? Hrm. I've actually seen some really big turtles up here in Minnesota, and they've got aimilar bad habit of trying to cross busy roads.

Now I miss flying...

Miss it? Yup, but only until I hit this winters destination, then I’ll be doing my happy dance!
And what is it with turtles liking to venture onto highways? One occasion I was too late to the rescue and I had to do some Matrix maneuvers to avoid high velocity turtle shrapnel.

Love the view of the sandpiper's skipping it up the beach. Comical little birds, that's for sure. Our family used to spend holidays in Englewood Beach, and developing the "sharks-tooth walk" (and sore back from hours of it), was a huge part of the fun. I have many of the fossilized teeth in my living room. And I agree, always have been a bit wiggy about the sharks. Had one brush against my leg only about 20 feet from shore in storm-created non-clear water while bobbing one day. Almost RAN out across the water. But I guess few of them ever bother people. Which doesn't help at all, when they run into you. Thanks for the memories of times in the sun.
