Feeding Our Bald Eagles

The Bald Eagles are birds of prey and are at the TOP of the food chain. They have no natural predators. There are many bald eagles where I live, but we have 2 that nest by our house year after year. We have always admired them from afar until we had an exceptionally harsh winter in which we started to annually feed our 2 eagles some fish during the winter. Now we absolutely love feeding them and I wanted to share them with you.
Winter wonderland. Love, love it when the snow falls and there is no wind.

Very cool! I wouldn't have thought they would come that close! I guess bird seed isn't an option with raptors... Lol
There are many along the rivers in Minnesota, too. A mating pair nests near my parents' home every summer.
Haaa, yes birdseed isn't an option and neither is hand feeding lol! Lots of people are ice fishing with hot dogs as bait or bacon just to catch the squaw fish to feed to the local eagles.
You are doing great job there as feeding these eagles. I admire the people who cares the nature. Please keep going. Followed happily. Hugs from Spain.

Wow! I think that's a great feeling to feed a bird of prey. In their natural habitat I have been feeding only squirrels in the woods )
