When will life be restored to normal again?

O Yes! Over time and again, l keep wondering when this question will get a deserving response by myself day in and day out; When will our world be back to normal again? The impact of COVID on our normal lives is breathtaking. Truth be told I really miss breathing fresh air when I move out of my room since I can’t step out without my nose mask. I mean when will we stop wearing nose masks? When will social distancing end? When will we be able to hug and give handshakes? When will our economy recover as government officials and nations keep spending huge sums of money on this deadly pandemic? When will we stop losing our loved ones from this virus? When will we live our normal lives? I ask myself these questions many times and again.
COVID has had a great impact on our daily lives, education, businesses, the economy, and almost all spheres of life, just to mention a few.
Notwithstanding the fact that one has difficulties in breathing fresh air from outside unless with a mask, we can’t meet and bond, no hugs, no handshakes. Friends cannot sneeze or cough in peace because people might stigmatize you for having COVID and the fear of spreading. When will we go back to our normal lives?
Is this not beautiful?
Social distance has now separated families.
In Ghana and in most parts of the world when the COVID arose, students were to break from school and education came to a halt for about 6 months or more. Teachers were to rush with the syllabus so that students can catch up. What saddens me is that sooner than later, final year basic school students will be writing their end of semester exams, and what I keep asking myself is what at all will they write cos with my time teachers got all the time but were not even able to cover all topics in the syllabus. Hmm. Let’s wait and see the outcome as they write.
We all know that in Ghana the percentage of the unemployed is greater than the employed even before the COVID but truth be told I believe due to COVID some companies were not making enough sales and some of them had a decrease in productivity and this made some companies lay off some of their workers which increased the already existing unemployment rate. Now, these people are homes not knowing what to do because the number of people among them who can’t start their own businesses due to lack of capital or business idea is more than those who are employed. Thanks to national authorities for programs and projects ongoing known as the Young Africa Works Project which is aimed at creating employment

COVID has had an impact on a lot of things including most economy and just as once said by the president of our country, Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo, “We know how to bring back the economy to life but what we can’t do is to bring people back to life”
I’m very certain and sure that our lives will come back to normal. Let’s continue to practice all laid down safety protocols to curb the rise of the COVID. Wear your nose mask, wash your hands regularly with soap under running water, or sanitize regularly, practice social distancing. Stay safe and enjoy the best of day great steemians.

This pandemic has done the world great harm. But there still seem to be some good things about covid we cannot simply deny. Many have got opportunities to get involved in some businesses and a whole new different lifestyle. I am hopeful life will back to normal soon but till then, let us enjoy the lessons covid-19 has taught us all. Thanks for this submission @magcarnie.
