Printing a High-Detail KV-1
https://www.bitchute.com/video/3TtSF0WEPgZr/
You may recall that I made a high-detail KV-1 some months ago and shared it here. That model was intended for printing in 1:56 scale, but I decided to print it in 1:100 scale, just to see what happened. I was quite pleased with the results, so I may start making more like this.
Here are some photos, which you can also see at the end of the video:
There are still a few artefacts left, which I will scrape or sand off before painting. Still, the video gives you a good idea of the sort of work that goes into these things. Here are some more photos, this time showing all three scales (1:100, 1:220, 1:285) that I've printed this tank in:
I have quite a few models printed in 1:220 scale as well as 1:285 scale, enough that I can start adding scale options in my miniature shop. However, there are a few things I need to do first. 1:100 scale may eventually be an option as well for more than just the KV-1 and KV-2, but it will be an expensive one.
