Hey guys! Sorry for editing this so late, but my internet connection wasn't very good these last couple of days.

I was surfing around the discord app and thought about checking out the @whaleshares server and guess what? I ran across such amazing people having a live curation, this was at most the second time that I joined one and I have to say, I really liked it. People can be very lovely when they set their minds to, and that night it wasn't the exception.

I still have some issues when it comes to activate my mic so I decided to stick around and check out what people were talking about. I must say I am very impressed. One could say that this is just an activity of the many that you can see over Discord but, I feel like more than a huge thank you I need to give a proper shoutout to everybody at #whaleshares team for organizing such an awesome party, fun and really looking to curate what I think are great people's and their posts as well. I couldn't help but to feel happy because taking the time to check out other people's work and efforts is an amazing thing.

To talk about different topics and making the whole thing an empathic reunion, and to give us the opportunity to participate is one of the things that I like the most about steemit. Joining other people and actually getting together to discuss ideas, choices and overall conten can really inspire anybody.

How did I win?

So, as I was listening to comments and feedback people were giving to some posts, I listened to what I think was a contest running, in which you had to take a picture with your most loved thing. At first I thought, how could I love a thing more than my dog, my family, my plants? How do I put them all together and call them a thing?

Hahah those were actually ideas that I felt lead me nowhere, but, wait I minute. I thought; How about my sketchbook?

It was meant to be if you ask me. There I was, asked to actually just write down on a piece of paper "whaleshares" and share in a picture of myself holding the thing I loved the most. My wife gave me this sketchbook I think around 2012 (maybe 2011) and the way she did it is something that I will never ever forget.

She actually put the sketchbook onto my bed and that note you see as the main pic when I wasn't around, and it was such a surprise because I didn't expect it at all. Of course by that time she knew that I could draw, but the note says something like this:

What you do are your gifts, your most authentic form of expression to bring light and transform the world

How could I not have fallen for that?

She actually understood that my passion was art, and even though this is not a hard thing to find out, it seemed effortless but at the same time, and to put you in context. To buy something here and actually have found such a beautiful present isn't the easiest of tasks. She did the most perfect thing for me. She inspired me, she is my muse.

@shellylopez I cannot put into words all of what you have showed me, you really have treated me as no one else has ever done so. And I want to take this opportunity to tell you that you are the light that led my path to what I am today. I sincerely and truly love you. Thank you for being supportive and to show me the way to true happiness. I love you.

The prize, the contest!

Yeah, right! I got carried away, sorry. The thing is, this is my sketchbook, and I didn't mean to just show a picture of it, at first I tried to take a pic with my other son, Christian, who you may have seen in another post. But the best pic was the one I sent to @lindahas who I must thank deeply for actually have put up with me and to still so lovely asked me about it, when I didn't break the rules showing three things instead of just one, but my art is my life and my family are my love, so my participation thought is this:

This is a sketchbook, where I drew and painted my first son Jimi a couple years ago, I also drew the @whaleshares logo in an attempt to participate in this lovely activity showing how my wife saved my life with just one thing (or maybe two), and I will always treasure every moment that you have given me. Even this moment when your support proves me that art can prevail every time, and love can set my pace

I cannot forget to take this opportunity to also thank everybody who took the time to get over here and give me a piece of their time, of your happiness, of your good will. I'm deeply humbled by what you did and I will use this as a push for me to aim for greater things, and to feel even more thankful to everyone for your support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
