Sorry for the long time out, I just recovered from an accident during my fishing session. In this post I will tell all my misfortune, I hope will serve as a warning to others.

In the last few weeks, my dear friend, Valentino, has returned from Barcelona for the holidays. Always living in big cities, when he returns, he loves spending a lot of time in our campaigns and we often go fishing together. I wanted to take him to the lake, where he is quieter and easier, but he doesn't do it for him and he preferred the river, insidious and ruthless if you make mistakes. To preserve this place still unknowingly by the robbers, I can't reveal the exact location, but it is an affluent of the Adige. We come to the spot in the late afternoon, and prepare for the night in the river. Everything goes smoothly, the fish is apathetic for the heat and the presence of many fish called alborelle indicates that the big predators are not hunting. Our goal is the Silure catfish or big American catfish, but a bait was also prepared for the carp, and it is precisely on the latter that catches a fish. I understand immediately that it isn't a small fish, the combat lasts for a good quarter of an hour but in the end we manage to take it to the net, a wonderful wild queen carp, I wasn't equipped to weigh it but it was so great. I probably had taken a fish that had never been caught by anyone before, Fishing a beautiful carp so with your bait is not for every day, joy in that time was immense, but I didn't know what would happen to me shortly.

All photos of the fishing session have Valentino in his reflex, later I will have everything, for now I have recovered this carp shot. Sorry about the poor quality but I photographed the reflex screen.

Taken pictures of fish rite, I'm ready to release the fish. Bear in mind that in the rivers you often have to adapt, and you are fishing in complicated areas, at that point the shore was about 1.5-2m high, very steep and sandy. I try to put my feet on the protrusions of the shore to get to the water and oxygenate the fish before releasing it, to prevent a shock and Its die. I put the first foot and everything is fine, when I try to put the second foot down the shore, It completely slip and drop into the water knocking hard with a knee. Fortunately in that point the current isn't very strong and although injured I managed to stay afloat, fortunately, Valentino was quick to lie down the shore and I was able to grab his arm and He pulled me out. In the end everything was solved for "good" except for the 5 days in the couch with swollen knee :). I have to confess that the fright was strong, in the following days I thought of it all the times that I went alone, if it had happened to me in those situations, I don't know if now I'd be here writing. But don't worry this did not turn off my passion for nature, I'm already planning a new 2-day session next week, it only took me a few days to resume myself physically. One thing has changed though, next time I will be much more attentive, I recommend to anyone who likes to explore nature, never drop the guard, always stay shiny and think well of what you are doing. Just a little, a little distraction, and a pleasant day out in the open can become dramatic. So, enjoy nature but respect it and not underestimate it! Thank you all for the support. Now start again!

great post....I like fishing too.

Thanks. What do you like to fish?

Trout (mainly in cava) carp (mainly in cava). What you do around the Adige sounds a lot more exciting.

Take care of yourself!

Sure, thank you :)
