If I Leave My BTC In Coinbase During The UAHF/UASF, Will My BTC Turn Into The New Version, Or Stay As The Old Version?
I just came across this information from Coinbase today. I figure it's good information for anyone who has Bitcoin stored there.

Yáll have this back to front (though their statement is a little confusing) - they won't support any chain split from a hard fork - they are (like most of the industry) behind BIP91, which is good. @Staticinstance - you should probably fix your title appropriately.
Their statement on the matter is pretty hopeless, it makes it sound as if a chain split is definitely occurring on August 1. (It's only happening if BIP91 doesn't get +80% support for 3 days and the proposal already has 80% support as of today)
Of course they won't support it, they don't want to loose any control they have over the coin. A bunch of companies got together and decided whats good for bitcoin and what direction bitcoin is going to take. What's different from that bunch of companies from a government that control fiat? Nothing good is coming out of this if bitcoin gets centralized and controlled by a few. And this is exactly what is happening right now

So Coinbase will follow the UASF and change everything to it, while if you want to split your coin you will need to withdraw on your private wallet.
