Drawing mandalas (fancy doodling)

Hi everyone,

I desperately needed something to do recently, I needed some sort of a new hobby or just something to keep me busy and relaxed at the same time :) And I wasn't really born with a special talent - or well, I haven't discover it yet at least, so I'm not very confident when it comes to drawing, painting...any sort of art actually. Yeah yeah, I know everyone can learn and everyone can do art, but still... not yet.
But I do know, that I always liked to doodle. In my school books, or when I was on the phone I would just grab the closest paper and just doodle some patterns or whatever came to my mind. And it felt kind of relaxing. Calming.
Eventually I tried the 'adult' coloring books, and it was fine. But still, nothing special. I got tired of it very quickly. So a few days ago, I got the idea that I could maybe, you know, draw the 'adult coloring books'? Or just patterns.. .so one thing led to antoher and here I am drawing mandalas :)

The thing is, I'm not a pro (if you could actually be a pro in this), I just googled a few examples to get inspired, and I created two mandalas by myself. And you know what? I think they turned out pretty damn good for the first time. At least they kept me busy for a few hours, and they are pretty good stress reliever as well. So I think I'm gonna continue with this. Just for myself :)

So the first one turned out like this

With the second one I remembered to take a picture in the beginning.
I started with some guidelines

and then just 'free styled' my way to the final form :)

You can obviously see the patterens aren't as precise as they should be, but yet again, they're my first ones and I'm proud od them :)
