This certification is fresh from the printer of TESDA Region VII Republic of the Philippines.

As a faculty, there is a need to keep abreast of the latest technology most specially when you are in the Information and Communication Technology track.

Last December 1, 2017, the university urges and requires us to take Computer System Servicing National Certification(CSS NC II) Assessment. This is in connection to the number percentage of all the faculty who teaches technical subject. The university had given ten (10) slots of the faculty to take the said examination for free.

At first, I don't have the courage to take the examination because I am only given four (4) days before the examination. I return the application for the examination to the working of our department because the time is not enough for my preparation. My colleague @rockangels encourages me to pursue in taking the examination.

Computer System Servicing (CSS) is divided into 4 areas which is referred to as CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION (CoC). You cannot proceed to the next CoC until you can complete the first task.

This topic really makes my first decision not to pursue in taking this assessment because the time is really short for the preparation. But I keep in mind that if others can why can't I.

CoC 1 Installing Computer and Networks (2 hours)

• Disassemble/ Assemble Desktop Computer
• Configure BIOS
• Install Windows Server 2008/2012 R2
• Install Microsoft Office
  Note: Prepare installer for creating Portable Bootable Device.

CoC 2 Configuring Computer System and Networks (2 1/2 hours)

• Creating Network Cables
• Network configuration
• Set router/Wi-Fi/wireless access point/repeater configuration
• Inspect and test configured computer network

CoC 3 Setup Computer Server (1 1/2 hours)

• DHCP Server
• DNS Server
• File Services
• Folder Redirection
• Remote Desktop
• Printer Management

CoC 4 Maintaining Computer System and Networks (1 hour)

• Creating System Restore Point
• Creating System Backup Image
• Using the created Restored Point to restore the system
• Using the created Backup Image
• Disk Defragmentation
• Disk cleanup
• Scanning for Viruses (Anti-Virus)
• Oral Questioning

I cannot imagine myself that within four days I can do all this things and PASSED. I give thanks to @rockangels for believing in me and most of all to our Almighty God for giving me more strength and wisdom that I am able to surpass all the hardship.
