MY JOURNEY ON STEEMIT
I knew about steemit in August 2016 from my friend @samstickkz, I joined the community, started blogging but at the beginning stage, it wasn't encouraging as I'll blog but yet no Upvotes. The trend continued until I lost most of my files which my steemit passkey was one of the files. By December 2016, I recovered my lost files, logged in to my steemit account and starting blogging again but this time it was different as I got encouraging Upvotes from other steemians. This made my passion for steemit to be on the rise. I love telling people one unique thing about steemit which is

How did I come about this phrase?
I realised that I could spend my day almost from morning till night blogging and reading posts on steemit and yet not get tired. Drop my phone, wanna stay for some minutes yet find myself carrying my phone and logging on to steemit. Often times I'll stay from morning up till afternoon without food why? Steemit. I had to discipline myself not to go close to my phone as I'll log on to steemit once I'm with my phone.
Indeed, steemit has made my journey really remarkable as its full of several testimonies....

MY INTRODUCTION

I'm Unyime Akpan by name, an Akwa Ibomite and a Nigerian. A 500 level student in the department of Geoinformatics and surveying, university of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I'm Soul winner, a Poet, fitness trainer, a Rapper, Entrepreneur and a dancer. Being effective and result oriented in all that I'm involved has also been the climax of my personality. Excellence, selflessness, inspiring, encouraging, supportive, loving and caring are the attributes that well defines me. 😀😀😀Now, the part of me which anyone can find everyday is the fact that I'm a Steemian

MY STORY

I'm an entrepreneur, this part of me always propels me to take risk in order to obtain notable victories. In 2016, I was involved in several ponzi scheme such as MMM, Zarfund, BTC investment etc which I'd lost several millions of Naira. I've managed a Telecommunication company for 2 years after which I had to resign cos of my education. Now, I'm a Steemian. Joining Steemit has been one part of my sojourn that I'm always excited about. When I joined steemit, I didn't have enough money for my upkeep in school, my tuition fees, in summary, I joined steemit when I was broke. But through steemit,ive been able to pay my tuition fees, get enough money for my house rent, save money to buy my laptop and become financially independent.

You may never appreciate the opportunity you have until others have made full prove of that which you neglect

For some minutes I always think about if I'd ignored joining steemit community when it was introduced to me. I could had still been broke and wanting cash to settle several of my needs. I mean AN OPPORTUNITY TO BLOG AND EARN? one platform which has provided solution for several people all around the world. Through Steemit, I have met men, Men who are determined to create value for others to mention but a few @ejemai, @surpassinggoogle, @dtube, @mustard, @candyman, @runicar etc. Seeing what this people has done, there's no way I can do anything smaller.

My goals on steemit

Success is making a place better than the way you met it
I want to create value for my community and everyone that comes in contact with me. This is the reason why I'm signing up people almost everyday, enlightening them on how to become financially independent.
For some years, I've always wanted going to the slums, picking those children that seem as though there's no hope for them, putting them in school and ensuring that the live the life of their dreams cos saving those children is eliminating arm robbery, kidnapping, rape cases, cultism etc, Why? if those children grow up, knowing not what it means to be loved and cared for, they'll always grow up to be violent. This is my major goal on steemit. I want to also render some community services like free health care and scholarship schemes.
I know that with steemit, I'm going to accomplish all this goals.

THE VALUES WHICH I'M BRINGING TO STEEMIT COMMUNITY
I started by signing up new steemians and ensuring that they are well enlightened and coached on how to use the platform. Ensuring that every young man and woman signs up both on @steemit and @dtube. Reasons being that 85% of young men and women access YouTube, facebook, twitter everyday and yet they are not rewarded. The mindset of "We are just on this platform at leisure times" Should be eradicated. Steemit is not just a platform to blog and learn rather, @steemit is an arena for learning. Educating post has to be made to the Community so that this platform can be used for research purposes.

WHY I DESERVE TO WIN
A vision(dream) carried in the mind cannot be achieved except with enough finances. For all that I want to do, I deserve to win so that when I'm talking to other people about steemit, they'll also see it on my blog. Funds are required to send the helpless children back to school which is also one of the major reasons why I deserve to win the contest.
