My Scout Story. Steemit Participation Challenge, Week 1 by @starrchris

Sincerely it was a live changing event that i will never forget. On the 1 st day of last month, I got a news from our official President Mr"Emmanuel Lovesight. He is the national president of the Environmental Brotherhood" movement and I am gladly a member of such environmental movements whose goals are to take care of our environment and everything that concerns "nature like trees, animal and organisms in our and other's societies. It as been part of our daily tradition that every 4 th day of every month, the national association selected 5 members each from different branch in the federation.

This selected members are selected from numerous application of interested members around the federation, so therefore I also wrote and submitted to the branch office in my district. James was once one of the lucky 5 people to be selected for the trip.

James would always tell us of how the all went for trip, he would start by talking about their camping in a tick and quiet forest where one can have a one on one encounter with nature and it's natural inhabitants like different plants, fishes , bird and animals like snakes, he would also talk about how the went on hiking and day-tripping during the day and in the night they do sit around campfire set up by the older youths in our organization.

At around 3 pm while I was reading a call came and my phone rang, so I got up to reach for my phone, to my greatest surprised It was our branch leader, my heart did skipped, so I dropped my book immediately to pick up the and phone to answer his call. To my greatest surprised I was told by our branch leader, saying congratulations man come to the office to pick up your acceptance later, he added that I have been selected to participate in the trip and a car would come pick me up in three days time. I was so glad and happy that I was selected for this trip, it was a dream come true, so I went to pack my property and started preparation for the trip.

On the 04-05-2022 I went to the branch and a vehicle took me and the remaining four people selected from my district to the headquarter, then we were given some advice and warning, after which me and the remaining selected individuals from different district was left for the airport in our organization bus. Around 2 o'clock pm me we finally reached this forest and all we could see was hills, valley and trees. In the morning we would go out for site seeing, hiking, and fishing in the night the older youths would gather sticks for burnfire and every one will be busy eating drinking and chatting near the fire
