STEEM WITNESSES & THE DOLLAR PEG

I would like to appreciate the work the creators of steemit, @ned Scott &/Dan Larimer have done in putting this community together and working hard to make it better as well as the witnesses who remain the backbone sustaining and providing structural support to the system.
I would also like to encourage the witnesses to put their weight behind the steem to ensure it doesn't continue to endlessly dip against the dollar. Placing back the peg may help a reversal in the downtrend as well as prompt a boost.
As a parent, I don't mind my kids having some level of freedom so as to master discretion and foster independence. But there are limits, there are always limits. There should be a natural or artificial limit to the value of the steem.
This is not to disregard market forces but to reduce the level of volatility of the crypto currency. We once again acknowledge and appreciate the selfless hard work that goes into reinventing the platform. You guys still know what's best and we respect whatever decisions you may come up with.
