New Dragon Eye Pendant

One of my favorite motif in my jewelry making is the dragon, especially the dragon-eye. I like the idea behind the dragons and the whole concept of protection associated with wisdom and confidence.

Hey... whatever works to make us feel amazing!!! A beautiful statement necklace is a conversation piece. It brings attention to it and the wearer. It is a great conversation piece, basically an ice breaker.

If you are an introvert or just a shy person, try wearing a daring piece of jewelry. You will see how people will start talking to you... and guess what? Those people who start conversation are the right people to meet, as they are interested in the same subjects as you... a construction worker will not make a comment on a dragon eye pendant, but a Reiki healer will do... just an example...

So, let me introduce you my latest design. I think I like this one the best.

I used natural copper wire, a glass cabochon, some natural Black Tourmaline beads, some silver beads and a cool silver drop.

I did not make a full tutorial, as it will be very long... lots of steps involved... but I managed to take some pictures while I had it in works. People love to see "work-in-progress" photos. Me too :)

As you can see, I started by wrapping my hand painted eye. I used a copper button. Recycle!

Then I worked on my frames. Improvising is the keyword!

The last part is so much fun, it is the adorning part! I like those tiny black tourmaline beads because this stone is so powerful: it attracts good energies and repels negativity!!!

Final touches, and the pendant is ready. I made two bails, so it can be worn horizontally, like a slide, how cool is that?
