This is Me

Hi, Steemians. I'm Stanley, most people call me Chima.

I'm a Doctor (Medical not native); practicing for about 3 years now. It's fun some days; other days you just want to knock some individuals in the head like the annoying colleagues, employers (that don't like paying salaries or underpaying when they manage to pay) or rarely some patients that think they are funny, trying to teach you the job you spent many years in school learning.

I love Science in general, cakes, and most especially movies. I don't think I can go a day without watching a movie. Favorite genre is science fiction (obviously). I guess you could call me a geek 'cause I'm more of a loner, my love of science plus some people seem to think I'm smart (not sure about that though). I also like football especially when Manchester United FC is playing as well as the Nigerian national team although they can be annoying sometimes like how they won the Nations cup and didn't qualify to even defend it the following year.
I live in my head most days, imagining better versions of things or what I see. Doing something that really matters is what I really hope for. Something that would change the world... Like an awesome groundbreaking discovery or invention. The weird thing is I would prefer to be in the shadows while people wonder the person that did such an awesome thing. I love mystery. Sometimes I imagine myself being an eccentric and reclusive mad scientist.
Most people think I'm older than I really am mostly cos I'm not even close to 30 and I've got grey hairs plus the fact that I've been a doctor for a little over 3 years. I was just lucky (favoured) enough to have spent only 3 years in Primary school. This brings me to the part about being a Professor. I just love how it sounds with my name. Hopefully I'll be a Prof before 35.
I have a wonderful family and group of friends who helped me a year ago through depression. At the end I'm grateful to God for who and where I am in life. I really hope I enjoy it here and it is as interesting as my friend @nmalove who introduced me says it is. Cheers.
