        ——PRECIOUS METALS——

On the Shanghai Futures Exchange this morning, metals prices are split between being little changed and weaker with aluminium and nickel prices catching up with earlier in the week developments.

        ——CRYPTO CURRENCIES——

Bitcoin's limited supply is about to get a bit more limited , and barring an unforeseen event, the 17 millionth bitcoin is likely to be mined in the coming day, data from blockchain.info shows, a development that would mark yet another milestone for the world's first cryptocurrency. That's because as per bitcoin's current rules, only 21 million bitcoin can ever be created!

         ——STOCK MARKET——

Futures for the Nasdaq rose 46 points, or 0.7%, to 6,602, anchored by solid premarket gains for Facebook Inc. FB, +7.90% and other tech giants in the F.A.A.N.G group that reported Wednesday after the close. And Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 59 points to 24,138 while those for the S&P 500 index rose 8 points, breaking a five-day losing streak which had been its longest string of losses since March 2017.

        ——OIL PER BARREL——

The oil price has risen by 15 percent in the last four weeks thanks to expectations that the United States will reimpose sanctions on Iran, a major oil producer and member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). And declining output from Venezuela is a contributing factor as well.

        ——US DOLLAR INDEX——

The U.S. dollar has already lost nearly 2% of its value against other currencies and is trading at its lowest level in more than three years. This follows a 10% decline for the dollar in 2017.

       ——BALTIC DRY INDEX——

The Baltic Dry Index hit its highest on May 20, 2008 when it rose to 11,793 points while it hit its lowest mark at 290 points last year on 10th of February. It looks like it going up again.
