Snack By The Sea:Salt Roast Egg and Coconut Rice Cake | 海边小食:盐焗鸡蛋和椰子糕

Turquoise sea view, a bit chill breeze, and a salt roast egg come from cage-free chicken and roasted by original coarse salt: just wonderful.

It is coarse salt to do the magic: other than the regular boiled egg, those salt give egg a caramel flavor.

Coconut rice cake is kept in hot steam pot, a traditional way to keep them warm and moist. Rice cake is plain, but with coconut and wrapped with bamboo leaves, this natural and subtle scent become precious after we are used the strong and artificial flavor in all kinds of desserts.

当自驾在去铜鼓岭的路上时,分分钟有掉头往回开的冲动:难以想象已经到了2018年,通往铜鼓岭的高速公路一拐下来,就是一条坑坑洼洼的乡道。从手机和车载导航确认了没走错路之后,只能硬着头皮继续向前踩油门了。

经过了几座破败落后的小村庄后,突然柳暗花明从乡间小道换成了整齐宽阔的双向六车道,道路两旁也不再是农田、耕牛和南方典型的骑楼,而是火热朝天建设中的大工地,无一不显示着这块土地的美好前景。

在隔几公里就突然设一个限速40外加摄像头的导航提示中,在诅咒海南警察都是挖坑高手的默念中,终于开到了有山有水的海边。还好,风景没有让我失望:蓝绿色的清澈海水拥抱着大小不一错落有致的光滑石头,比普通的海滩滩多了几分灵动和跳跃。

正因为路途的遥远和不便,这片美景只有寥寥数个游人一起分享,还有一对热情的本地夫妻,张罗了一个简易大棚,卖椰子、椰子糕和盐鸡蛋。2月份的海风有点微凉,坐在面朝大海的躺椅上吃上一个因地制宜使用海盐焗出来的土鸡蛋,到手上还是温热。拨开蛋壳从蛋白里透出的,是土鸡蛋独有的饱满金黄的蛋黄,以及比水煮鸡蛋更具风味的盐焗焦香。椰子糕是用糯米和椰肉裹上粽叶在滚烫的大锅里蒸着,质地柔软清甜不腻。一个巴掌大的椰子糕吃下肚,不仅手焐热了,全身都跟着暖和了起来。
