[Poem] I wonder

in #poem8 years ago

I wonder when I am supposed to see
the end of rainbow and take the golden pot,
I wonder when I am supposed to be
all that I’ve worked and dreamed about.
I wonder when will be the time
to stand on stage under the grand light,
I wonder when all will be mine
and when my star will shine all bright.

I wonder if I’ll see one day
the smile that I long forgotten,
I wonder if I’ll find my way
and leave this cage, too dark and rotten,
I wonder if I’ll get to find
the love I’ve read so much about,
I wonder if I’ll free my mind,
From all these thoughts that wander around.

its amazing @sstefan especiallly on the lines which saying i wonder if if ill find the love i've realised so much,,

"I wonder if I'll get to find
the love I've read so much about"

These lines are pretty awesome. ❤❤ Though somehow I could feel the sadness in it, but if I try to go deeper, there's this light that gives hope to that person, probably you, me, or anybody else that one day, the love we fantasize comes into reality.

In one of the Korean Drama Series that I have watched, I remember a line that was said by the lead actor himself. "Waiting is one of the best things we can do for the person we love," he said. If this is so, if we will just patiently wait until right person comes, then that love will be more than just a gift for us. It is life itself that gives meaning to our human existence. :)

I wonder if I’ll free my mind,
From all these thoughts that wander around.

Loved this part, but I enjoyed the whole poem. Thanks for sharing @Sstefan.
