Blog #2 - The long term strategy on Steemit

How would Steemit look in a year? In two years? 5 years? Have you ever thought of that?
How you, as a content creator, would act on long term? What it would be your strategy?

I was thinking about this kind of stuff last night before going to bed.

Steemit is the kind of environment where you can get lost pretty easily. The average post gets it votes in the first 30-60 minutes. Or at least this what is happening with mine. I’m not sure how many people are spending time on reading past posts or voting for them (can you still get rewarded for votes outside the 7 day window?). So what really matters on Steemit it’s the fresh, the really fresh content.

To be able to stand out, you have to come up with content each day, or more time than once a day. Because if you don’t write often, people will lose track of you and that will be seen in the future. Your posts won't have the same reach anymore.

But I think, as a content creator, you just have to… create. That is the long term strategy. No matter what you write about, you just have to create and entertain your audience. In a way or another. Either inform them about something, make them laugh, cry. Make them feel something, and they will return to you.

The long term strategy on Steemit, and any other social media platform is to be present. Is to be heard. Is to create. Is to be there.

At least that is my strategy.
