Hey stackers, silverstackeruk here doing a post for ssg-community.
Looking at the comments in the posts from this account is depressing. Yesterdays voting post has 3 comments and all from non members, its deflating when i think i spend time to make posts so that we can collect some upvotes that puts a few extra SBD's into the budget. Even writing this, i feel like im wasting my time and i should be spending more time on the post im going to make from my account tonight. Maybe a mandatory vote is what is needed, the extra SBD's would sure help alot and take some pressure off @buggedout. He is working at this everyday because he does not pay for all the delegations on a set date every month, they are all over the place and he needs to keep shit together are it will all fall apart. We could hold a vote for it but getting 5-6 votes will not give a big enough sample to judge from.
I personally do not mind the idea of a mandatory vote as long as it not a forced 100% vote. Alot of members will not like the idea but we need the SBD's. @raybrockman can not keep giving away chunks of his stack for donation raffels, it not fisable long term.

Your effort is appreciated mate and I think the comments on this one shows people are actually reading, just not always commenting. I am still dirty on STINC for taking away the view count because that was always a good indicator of how well read something was.
Anyway, if you need to take a break to stay fresh then please do. The self-voting was always only intended to be temporary and we extended it just so that we could keep all our SP leases this month since the STEEM price was tearing. We can let some of them go next month if the funds are not there and get back to a normal post rate.
PS - I am still staunchly against the idea of a compulsory vote on this account.
Here is a suggestion, maybe make upvoting these post mandatory only for the members that do not contribute any delegation power or liquid Steem to Precious? Try that first before it is fully mandatory for all members, if things go that way.
An average 1 cent vote from 200 members will only yield about 0.75 SBD per day after curation. But it creates an unnecessary tension in 200 minds of missing a vote ...even if you put it on an auto-voter, some issues may arise with the auto-voter or nodes and you may miss casting your daily votes. So not a profitable trade-off.
IMHO, it would be better to increase the liquid contribution rates or let go off some bot's delegation to ease the pressure.
I agree, that's why I am not a big fan of mandatory voting for the bot in the first place. This should be a fun place to hang out, and not for worrying everyday about the "did I missed voting for the bot" anxiety...
However, (if there are no better solutions) that is why, I think, making mandatory voting for non-contributing SSG members might encourage more of them to either delegate SP or send in liquid Steem to Precious so that they don't have to worry about the daily voting obligation. I feel that would be a fair tradeoff for everyone.
It is becoming increasingly apparent that being "fair" isn't something that's in the interest of the people moderating this group. I'm done with it.

steemit does seem quiet at the moment, could be people are on holliday, but then again no self respecting stacker would go on holiday when they could spend their money on silver instead

I'm guilty of this, I always read but rarely comment, I'll up my game. You always get 100% uv from me. I'd be happy to see some sort of mandatory upvote system. Maybe structured so everyone gives a similar amount. All I know is that if I were getting a 3% upvote for nothing, these posts would get all I could give.
60 upvotes daily average and all appreciate the work done for sure.

I agree that the voting is an option. I think at a bare minimum those who are not contributing to the monthly leases and getting 3% vote, should be required to give a 100% upvote on every post.

Wow... Wouldn't I love to get some of those 100% Votes you just mentioned... Would you believe I get some that are 0.02%... It would take 50 of those to make just One Percent... lol...
