Steemit Engagement Challenge: My Steemit friends I want to meet by @srrebullient
Hello everyone, I am glad to be writing to you all today and it is a privilege for me to have this opportunity to share such emotional content with you guys here.
In this post, I will be writing on a topic that states "The Steemit friend I would like to meet"
Before I proceed fully with the contest, I would like to, first of all, make us understand what a friend is.
A friend is someone willing to make consistent sacrifices that would help in your personal growth and development. It is not just one who you laugh and play with because you're bored.
A friend help without minding the discomfort or trouble that might cause.
A friend is someone who encourages.
A friend doesn't just advice, a friend takes advice without offense no matter how harsh it may sound.
A friend doesn't envy or compete rather he is geared and motivated by the progress of another friend.
Having seen some qualities of a true friend, I will move to write about my Steemit friend I would like to meet.
Since my time on Steemit, I have come across different persons whose lifestyles have impacted me directly and indirectly. I have come across those I have learned things from even without them knowing.
But when we talk about a friend, I will be pointing out a few persons who have deliberately affected my life and whose words have encouraged my growth.
It all started when I came to know about Steemit through a friend of mine @alphafx. I wouldn't call him a Steemit friend because we have known him long before Steemit came into the picture.
After @alphafx explained Steemit to me and saw how eager I was to join, he referred me to a friend of his @rexxalo who was having a WhatsApp Steemit tutorial class and was guiding newbies on how to go about their introductory posts.
When I met with @rexxalo, he welcomed me as though we have known for ages and immediately added me to a group where he started putting me and some other new members through our achievement 1 post.

After I did my achievement1 post, @rexxalo didn't wait for it to get verified whenever the greeters feel to verify it but went immediately tagging @ngoenyi who is a greeter then in other for her to verify my achievement task-1 which she did with nice comments and a rate of 3.
I continued with my other achievements and was pushing hard to get verified in all in other for me to meet up with the minimum criteria required in joining the SteemitCryptoAcademy and under a week I was already doing my achievement task-5.

During those times, @rexxalo's WhatsApp DM was my second home as I was always disturbing him in other for him to clear some of the confusion I was encountering which he always does without even feeling like I am bothering him.
Not long after, he decided to introduce us to the @campusconnectng community which is a community where students from various parts of the world come together and educate and support each other by sharing quality campus-related content.

Joining the @campusconnectng community was a plus for me as the community helped in boosting my reputation to 50 which was the minimum required for one to participate in SteemitCryptoAcademy tasks.
After qualifying for the SteemitCryptoAcademy, I started with the 5 beginner introductory posts which I got a score below average in two tasks, an average score in two tasks, and a bit above average in just one task.

I was disappointed after getting such poor remarks but @rexxalo didn't stop encouraging me thus spurring me into more and more action.

Unfortunately for me, that was the last week of the season 3 SteemitCryptoAcademy so I had to go on break thinking about what I did wrong in the just-concluded season and how I can improve in the coming season.
After two weeks of break, the 4th season of the SteemitCryptoAcademy started and I immediately took part in it.
I kept learning from my mistakes and getting better and better by reading through @rexxalo's posts. My contents kept getting better and better and before I could blink, I was already at the top score.

It was sad that the glory days didn't last as that was the last season of the SteemitCryptoAcademy which I participated in because the new season came with impromptu rules which mandated club5050 thus eliminating me. After all, I have always been withdrawing our earnings to seek out some school needs.
I struggled to come back to doing crypto academy tasks but the rules kept getting tougher and tougher and that includes the increase in minimum reputation to 60 whereas I was barely at 58 reputations.
I then focused on building my reputation by posting on communities, especially @campusconnectng but before I could attain the 60 reputations, the SteemitCryptoAcademy season 6 have already been concluded.
During the break, I had to check up on @rexxalo because it's been a long I heard from him and see his posts and that was when I learned that the club5050 rule affected him too. I encouraged him and made him believe that we will both get back to the academy by the coming season 7.

To our surprise, the anticipated SteemitCryptoAcademy season 7 was replaced with a contest and engagement challenge which is what has allowed me to share this story with you guys.
This contest is an interesting one that has allowed most of us to share our Steemit stories. Aside from @rexxalo, I have met a lot of other interesting persons whose lifestyles have directly and indirectly made positive impacts on me.
@mato445 is a good example and I would like to invite him, @whitestallion, @awesononso, @jerryofkingz, and lastly @rexxalo to take part in this challenge.

I'm greatful to @rexxalo for his early support and encouragements.
These guys are definitely more than just friends though. They definitely helped you alot see as your academy score transitioned from a 3.7 to a 10/10 and they keep you motivated and active. He really guided you through alot. My mentor on the other hand just helped me with my achievement 1 and I had to survive on my own through trial and error. I hope you meet them in real life, I feel y'all would achieve greater heights as a team. Plus you started Steemit on August and you have already reached me who started the platform in April. I really have to be consistent and hardworking like you were thanks to your friends. Goodluck with the contest. You indeed have great friends

Indeed they help me a lot and I am grateful. I would have made it pass my current position if not that I stayed inactive for over 3 months due to club5050 rule but I am back and there's no going back.
Wow, you have good friends, look at the transition in your academy score.
When I was introduced to the steemit platform, I was only guided through my achievement tasks and then, I had to find my way.
Those niggas are more than friends bro, they are like brothers, because such friends are not easy to get this days.

Friends are so precious and pivotal to human relations, we make new friends everyday, that’s one of most iconic things about steemit, we get create beautiful connections with people all over the world.
I admire your journey and the friends that helped you make it a reality.
I also had a similar experience when I joined steemit and my friends here have helped me a lot in achieving the things I have today.

I am happy to see how @rexxalo helped you get a grip on this platform. As a newcomer we all need help and most times the person helping us can determine how fast we move or understand the platform.
No doubt.. Having someone to help and guide you during your early stage is a bonus and to think a lot of persons gave up due to lack of support
A very touching write up. Friends are really part of the reason why we survive most times. A friend is always there for you when you are at your weakest, a friend is one who can sacrifice to see you happy.
Friends don’t just come, the are built. This is because of how compatible the have gotten, and the result will always be positive with a good outcome.
It’s good to make good friends who has common goals with you, it would really do a lot in future.
You have spoken well. Indeed genuine friends are needed in other for one to thrive.
