Smart Use for SmartPhone
So the other day I got a new CPU in the mail for a motherboard I bought recently for yet another mining rig. I ran in to a snag as it was the wrong CPU for the board. Turns out the advertisment was posted incorrectly. In the process or trying to get it to fit I bent a couple of the socket connectors on the board. So what do you do? Those things are tiny and my big clumsy hands and aged eyes could not begin to make any kind of repairs because I simply could not see the exactly which one was bent.
Enter the SmartPhone camera.
By using the zoom on my Android phone and a small needle I was able to differentiate one pin from the other and straighten out my error. Pretty cool huh?
I called the company I purchased the wrong CPU from and they are discounting a replacement as I told him I would simply keep the chip they sent and buy a motherboard to fit the chip, so I'll soon have two additional PC's to fill up with video cards and start mining coin with on top of the two I already have.
Soon I'll be a full fledged coin mineral about 3500 H/s on Monero's main net. Woo-hoo!
