There's something amazing at each subway stop. Tiles individually glazed and baked - then assembled. In this case - 1934 at the Constitucion stop of subway - line C

Caceres y Badajoz (Spain)

Even in between the murals- vibrant patterns.

Tiles from 1934.

The translation:
There are Murals on the platforms at the San Juan subway stop that show a couple different places in Spain. Under each one there are heraldic shields. On the 'to Constitucion' side is Caceres y Badajoz, and on the 'to Retiro' side, we see Leon y Salamanca. These emblems contain figures with significant symbolism that describes the identity and history of said cities.

These art works are at every subway stop. If you lived here for 10 years, you would not see every one of them!

Here is another mural from the station nearest to Tortoni cafe. Riding the subway is being in a museum. But, you don't have to see them all in a day.
