How far the great have fallen. When I put my son in a taxi yesterday, I asked the ...

He took my son to his mother's house where she made change for the POOR taxi driver. This is infuriating mostly because this fancy 500 peso bill is only worth $3.60 - in United States money. Who in their right mind opens the doors to their business everyday with less than five dollars in the cash register?

There are already several banknote denominations that represent less value than the cost of paper, ink, security features, and the labor of printing them.

Yes, I was going to include that aspect. Thanks for bringing it up.

The same "500" is only worth u$s 0.10 if you talk about silver coins! The US constitution gives congress the power to "coin money" but they made enough laws and temporary orders that became laws - now we have paper to carry around with us. Of course, you know that I carry a silver dollar around with me. One silver dollar = $35 paper ones = 4,830 paper pesos.
