RE: The blackouts have straightened my path — Wanna take a walk with me?

in #ulog5 years ago

Thanks for sharing a bit of what's really happening in Venezuela.....Thoughts and prayers for those going through this crisis...It's said that what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. I think it's safe to say blackouts are part of this category.

I totally agree with you about finding more productive energy when the distractions of the internet, etc. are removed.

I'm glad that you clarified that the blackouts are scheduled, and it's not just the grid continuing to shutdown. The impression most are given is that the system is being sabotaged.

Godspeed...and best regards.

Peace.

Well, thousands have already died due to the blackouts, but yeah, for the "privileged" who have families and a financial cushion, we're relatively safer than the poor and the sick.

I'm glad that you clarified that the blackouts are scheduled, and it's not just the grid continuing to shutdown.

Sometimes they're scheduled, and sometimes it's due to failure. The (illegitimate) government has said that it's "sabotage", but the failures of the system have been documented by many, many experts and it's been proven otherwise (that it's mostly due to incompetence). Fortunately, the explosions due to overcharging (trying to send more kilowatts through smaller substations) seem to be slower now, or even stopped for now.

The fact that it's scheduled is only speculated due to how fixed the times are. For example, on Friday and Saturday, the power went out at 7:10 pm, and it's been gone for around 2 hours and a half each time it gets taken out, and it comes back regularly most of the times. It's pretty strange and worth researching.

I wrote some info about it under an opposing view to shed some light on both sides of the arguments. I'm not satisfied with the small amount of info I shared. However, all official info says sabotage and there's no documentation, and the journalist who was doing most of the work on shedding some light on the truth was imprisoned, then released with a gag order, and the information being spread is very limited (maybe due to fear, but also because the government hasn't let anyone into the plants ever since the blackout happened).

Many thanks for your reply @cryptosharon...As an outsider looking in, I've imagined what would happen if Venezuela said POTUS wasn't legit, and set out to replace President Trump. I would say love him or not, he is the President. I do believe US citizens would come together to rally on his behalf. The thought of another country wanting to overthrow a sitting POTUS would be highly 'questioned'. Furthermore, a foreign country naming an interim president...smh... I can't imagine it. Thankfully, the U.S. laws are set up to where there is an 8-year limit on the presidency.

I leave you with a biblical tip! found in Romans 13:1-2:

All of you must obey the government rulers. Everyone who rules was given the power to rule by God. And all those who rule now were given that power by God. 2 So anyone who is against the government is really against something God has commanded.

That said, let us pray.

Best regards.

Peace.

Maduro has set out murderous gangs to prey upon the masses an instill fear. They are called the colectivos. Maduro has imprisoned thousands of political activists like Luis Carlos. We did not elect Maduro, and he is not our government but our oppressor. We elected the National Assembly, and we support the National Assembly's decision to choose an Interim President to give back peace and prosperity to our country, and to call for new elections after overthrowing Maduro.

Moreover, I do not believe in God, and I will not tolerate abuse on my person in his name. If you believe that I should turn the other cheek and let myself get killed by a tyrant's bloodhounds, then I don't know what to tell you.

Yes, I’ve seen the colectivos in action…quite alarming…From research I’ve learned that they are put in place to discourage street protests…

Wow…very interesting!....So, you’re saying that the voting results were not the people’s choice…In dictatorships, I know this is a common theme, which explains why some say in power for decades….

Aha…I will have to research the National Assembly…I was quite curious why the US would stand behind someone without a ‘justifiable’ reasoning…Many thanks for this tip!

It seems that since China and Russia have moved in, the talks about US pushback are getting quieter…But, I realize that a lion is very quiet before it pounces, so I won’t be surprised if a war doesn’t erupt.

So, are you saying that the people didn’t go to the polls to elect Maduro…and that he’s just riding under the appointment of Chavez?....very interesting…I thought that there was an election by the people.

Sorry for the lol…and thank you for your honesty about God…No, I totally believe God put a built-in defense system in every human being…and, gave each an innateness about what the best thing to do is…Every person has a role...Some are born to fight...Some are born to care for the wounds of those in battle...There wouldn't be a military if some brave men and women weren't gifted with the Call to battle....I totally get what you're saying; but, I do believe Maduro might be the catalyst to making Venezuela a stronger country one day...The people have and are awakening to their reality that change has to happen...Without tyranny, people wouldn't be able to see their oppression face on.

I want to thank you @cryptosharon for your additional insight…Msm is just pushing rhetoric, sending mixed signals…What we’re getting mostly is the ‘privileged’ shots of the well-fed Venezuelans at Maduro rallies; and, those supporting Guaido are met with the fury of the colectivos.

I’m so glad to learn that Guaido didn’t just come on the scene out of nowhere…Last I heard they’ve banned him for 15 years; but, I’m sure that will go out of the window should Maduro leave office.

He reminds me so much of former POTUS Obama, and even chants “Si se puede” which was Obama’s campaign line…Interesting…

While the current times are very sad, considering Venezuela is one of the most oil-rich countries in the world, I pray that things will stabilize; and, that the people’s choice for president will manifest soon in a fair election.

Wow…I will have to search for the post you wrote about Maduro…I have a feeling there’s a lot of data to help educate the readers.

Best regards.

Peace.
