Open Ledger STEEM Update & High Price of Investment Greed

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

Open Ledger has left a notification regarding the STEEM Gateway not being accessible. Here's a snippet:

Dear OpenLedger Users,

We would like to announce that OMNI gateway, including OMNI and USDT, is open now. Sorry for inconvenience.

Please note: LISK, ZGC, STEEM, etc. GateWays and FIAT deposits and withdrawals are still under maintenance.
OpenLedger Team.

This is an example of the importance of keeping the lines of communication flowing.

Silence is often misunderstood as dodging.

As sad as that sounds, it seems this FUD originates from the behaviors of what some do when inflating a currency before leaving hodl-ers holding air.

In my short time as a Steemian, I have read enough firsthand testimonials, from those scammed out of real wealth, that there are scammers.

Just as in the real world, the shady dealer on the proverbial street corner, offers you a too-good-to-be-true-deal on a shiny new Rolex, stay aware that these 'negotiators' can be found in the STEEM community, as well.

This brings me to the point of significance; if someone is offering you a get-wealthy-quicker "opportunity", you might want to smirk and do the rme routine. Every app touted on the STEEM platform is not without a flaw, aka hidden agenda to fatten someone else's Wallet.

Just as, in life, everything is not 100% without criminal intent. If enough people site an app as a scam, you might not want to be right, in as much, as you want to do your own research to LEARN why. That said, the majority of hard working bloggers/vloggers far outweigh the minority of actors, knowingly or 'un-knowingly' scamming for a living.

So, if you are new to the STEEM community, have fun. Enjoy yourself; but, don't lose site of real-world antics. Equally, don't be so paranoid, to the point of being frozen in FUD, that you don't test the waters of legitimately earning and investing.

This thought brings me full circle to the Open Ledger update. The fact that it's been around since 2015, and continues to keep its information current, is an indicator that it is still very relevant, and working with diligence to grow the platform to a five-star rating, smooth as a whistle.

The fact that it has a direct link to the STEEM community, with its foundation in BTS, is another encouraging factor to consider when using this exchange.

Even though, I'm still on the sidelines regarding BTS, I am very aware that it is being promoted by a very reliable owner/investor; unlike, some of the scammers who pop up from the depths, with a variety of same face-different sell players.

Side note: I have done enough research on BTS, and heard from enough voices whose 'opinions' I value, tout the future of this currency. Per my own research, and inner vibe, I have bought a few shares, and over time intend to buy more.

If you are vulnerable, and/or greedy, trading is probably not in your best interest. If your discernment level is low, you probably shouldn't trade. If you don't like to research, and instead, prefer taking people who sell their apps/coins as the foolproof greatest, you definitely SHOULD NOT trade.

However, you should invest your time and energy into the STEEM platform by building your rank and SP with active, and well-designed posts. In this way, you will reap tips from the up votes you receive, which are easily convertible to Steem Power. As your SP grows, so will your wealth.

Always remember, no matter the outcome, plus or minus, God is in control!

That's it.

And, if you've read this far, please UPVOTE, COMMENT, FOLLOW, RESTEEM; and, as always, THANK-YOU!

Peace.

Thanks for this info! I'd love for you to share what you glean from it. I see a whole lot; and, I'm just a novice.

Most notably, two of my favorite coins STEEM and BTS have done quite well in the past seven days.

Thanks again. When OL is up and running again, I will definitely buy a few more shares of BTS; and, of course, keep powering up with STEEM.

Peace.
