Duck news (photo)

On my city pond every day there are more ducks with broods of ducklings. To date, 6 ducks-mothers brought their kids to the pond. Among them, one record. I counted 10 ducklings in one of the ducks!

Daddy duck all the time near family that in General is not typical for duck pairs...

Because of the high curb around the pond the little ducklings are almost nowhere to rest. There are only 2 floating rafts and one house on the pond. So the ducks lead their broods to the waste lattice, through which the excess water from our pond flows into the next, located at a distance of 800 meters.

On the same lattice pigeons arrive to drink. It's the only place they can get to the water.

Among those 6 broods that have already come to the pond, there are two families with a very small number of ducklings. One of the ducks I saw only two ducks, and the other 4 ducks. Most likely something happened on the way from the location of the nest to the pond. Little ducklings are completely defenseless Mered cats, dogs and crows...
Two large broods - 8 and 10 ducklings! The remaining two families with a standard number - six ducklings.
I will continue to keep track of duck families and try to take pictures of some interesting moments of their lives...
