Landscapes of Menorca
Hi steemians, in this post i bring you some shots of the nice landscapes of Menorca, one of the particularities of the landscape of this island are the "parets seques" or dry walls, which do not contain cement and which are a solution to delimit the land and taking advantage of the stones that abound here.
The southern part of the island is characterized by having some of the most beautiful beaches, with its white sand. Ravines are also common.
Another of the curiosities is the "camí de cavalls", a route that surrounds the island and that formerly was used for the vigilance and control of the watchtowers. Currently they are routes for hiking, cycling and to reach some hidden beaches.
Here you can see the beach of Son Bou, with the ruins of the Early Christian basilica in the foreground:
