Hello friends, in this post I would like to introduce you to 2 instruments that I love as if they were my children.

It is a Fender Jazz bass made in Mexico, the curious thing about this bass is that it was made in February 1987 the same month of the same year in which I was born.

The other is a Peavey Grind bass BXP made in Korea, this is my favorite because it has a much more versatile sound, because it has active pickups, which brings a deeper sound. Another thing that I love is that it never goes out of tune.

I also love it as it is very light and easy to play.

I like to see pictures of guitars. I will post mine soon; I have a large guitar collection ;-)

I used to be a pro bass player; and have several jazz bases. They are all either custom built, or are Ibanez copies (which I LOVE).

I like the Peavy bass you have pictured here; better tuners, better bridge, better electronics, better shielding, active pre-amp. But for me, the pickups would probably disappoint. I really like the "classic fender" sounding pickups; they can be hard to find. Put shielding copper tape around them, and try them in the Peavy, you might be surprised how cool they sound with a pre-amp, low impedance electronics.

I have collected pre-CBS Fender jazz bass pickups, and they are my favorite, but I believe it is possible to find copies that are very accurate in their specs, and they should sound good too.

Lots of natural mids, you can always boost the bass, right?

Your pic is upside down, I like to see them the other way!

Thanks for your comment @surfypgi, I changed the original pickups of my Fender for Fender Noiseless and sounds better but the Peavey is the best bass in the world for his versatile sound and because is very easy and fast to play.

Have a nice day friend, I want to see your collection : )
