Once a week...

Did you know?

Sloths are only moving to the ground once a week - for pooping.

They are indeed as slow and lazy as you might have heard of them. Crossing a street is extremely dangerous as they can't pass it fast enough.

They also spend most of their time on trees and they are not walking on the ground. There are too many predators and they have to hide up in the trees.

However once a week for pooping - they come back to the ground.

You should also not pick it up when you find a wild sloth - just keep it where it is and watch it from a safe distance.

You might help it when you find a sloth on a street. As this is so dangerous for it you can carefully lift it with a stick and bring it to the other side.
