360 degrees!

in #fact7 years ago (edited)

Did you know?

A rabbits field of vision is 360°.

It has to be since they need this surround sight to get protection from predators like eagles. Their eyes are sticking out a little bit and this allows them their wide sight.

Eagle can even see their prey hundrets of metres away and the rabbit need some sort of protection against it. Still - they are fallen prey most time by other animals so the sight only helps to a certain degree.

They can't outrun a flying animal like an eagle - unless they find some shelter they are an easy catch!

Eagles sometimes also prey on bigger animals then themselves. The rip their prey into pieces and fly the pieces to their nest. A rabbit is mostly the easier catch.

Amazing how big birds are out there.

I hope you liked this fact as much as I did!
