Star Wars X wing minatures

I started playing X wing about two months ago. Here in Knoxville we have a very active table top gaming community. So a few months ago I was looking to purchase into a tabletop game that I could collect and play. First thought that came to mind was Warhammer 40k. I watched a few people play for a while but interest seemed to peter out. I was noticing that the group of star wars players were coming in religiously and were warm and willing to show tactics and gameplay. Now I'm not saying I'm not going to get a Warhammer army in the next few months but I can say that starwars X wing minatures is amazingly simple yet complex and very fun to play. Heck my GF even plays against me. So if you've been looking for a game that doesn't involve painting and has a large following I'd recommend X wing... Now go find a gang of geeks and get playing !
