Hede.io - Unable to upload image on comment

Expected behavior

We can generally upload image on comment.
Hede.io should also able us to upload image while commenting.

Actual behavior

There is a option below comment box- Select image or paste it from the clipboard
When user click on this a window appear to select an image which user want to upload.
After selecting the image, it do nothing and never uploaded the image.

How to reproduce

  • First of all log in with your posting key on hede.io

  • Now open a random post from hede.io . On the below of the post you will see comment box,

  • Under the comment box you will see Select image or paste it from the clipboard option

  • Click on it and it will open a window to select an image

  • Now select a random image from your hard disk and click on "Open"

  • You will see that, it do nothing an never upload that image.

  • Browser version: Chrome Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)

  • Operating system: Windows 8.1

    Thanks for your contribution.

    I was able to replicate the issue.

    It's likely that this is an unimplemented feature or potentially a feature which should have been removed as it looks like it has been removed from one of the main posting fields of the application, but with that said this provides value to the project by either identifying the issue or identifying another area of issue in needing to remove this code.

    2. Great work for reporting via GitHub.
    3. Nice title, well described.
    4. Great to see you looking into the error in the console, this really enhances your contribution. Would have been great to see you provide a possible fix, but this is a good step in the right direction. Well done!
    5. Would have liked to have seen different image files tested to narrow down if it was an image type related issue, it's likely not however always nice to add in and would be beneficial in other bugs related to areas such as this.
    6. Few minor formatting issues, which could have been improved.
    7. As this has an easy workaround and I believe it's likely it will be removed I have reviewed this as minor (you can still enter the image URL into the field), but with that said believe it should be something which should be resolved by project owner quickly as it does create a less than favourable experience.
