Small town views
My today's post is travel related. It's about a two-day trip to a small Bulgarian town.
First of all, I do not forget the broad-mindedness and tolerance of this platform, so today I am changing the topic of my post.😊
Landing in a small Bulgarian town can be quite an experience. In every respect. You can have an infinite variety of interesting experiences there - from the most unpleasant to the most amazing. And one thing is for sure - you will learn many things, as well as see many things for the first time in your life. That is why I always recommend and prefer to visit smaller settlements. Where everything is somehow more real and the special local spirit can be felt to the greatest extent.
First of all, the time in these settlements almost always seems to have stopped. Looking at their communist architecture, preserved from the last century and the past regime.
I am not saying that this architecture is not beautiful. As a typical person with Stockholm Syndrome, I can say that this architecture is beautiful 🤭 And I know how to see, note and appreciate it.
Only these military monuments are not to my taste. "Monument to the Unknown Warrior" - very boring. And not only. Through the prism of today's events - who loves wars and military monuments?
The straight main boulevard cuts the village in two and continues there somewhere in the distance:
And here are some of the most important buildings (in every settlement) - bar, pawnshop,
and of course a gaming hall:
I will write about the gambling hall again, because in Bulgaria this is a tradition ... No, it is not a tradition, but something that is sponsored, advertised and imposed on the population. And how not - as one of the many legal drugs, this is just another way to escape from reality.

| Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
