Electricity issues

Nope, it's no longer possible to calmly take a shower. At least in the place where I live.
And this has been going on for several weeks now. Ever since this huge increase in the price of electricity began.
(Is this happening in other countries at the moment, or only in Bulgaria?)

I assumed they would impose a current regime on us. As it was in the good old dark communist times that I remember as a child, when we used gas lamps and heated our homes with wood- or coal-burning stoves. (coal-burning was a luxury, actually. So, we've never used it.)

In the good old dark times, when the only entertainment for ordinary people - the TV with two single, state channels was stopped due to lack of electricity and there was nothing to do but gather at the table and talk.
At a time when we considered this normal. When we accepted everything that happened to us.

I thought all this would return now that the Communists - overt and covert - had returned to power. So far, however, thank God, it has not happened.

Of course, each municipality has taken its own independent action to deal with the situation. Some have already turned off street lights in populated areas because they don't have the money to pay the huge electricity bills.

Elsewhere, as is likely to be the case where I live, water companies save on electricity by not supplying constant current to pumps to maintain water pressure.
This is currently the most logical explanation for why, when I go to take a shower in the bathroom, the water periodically almost stops. As well as the temperature is constantly changing.

This is really quite unpleasant, as it is still winter. The bathroom is cold, and when the water almost stops and I have to wait for it to come back, I'm cold. Also, every time I put shampoo on my hair (and that's when, of course, the pressure drops and the trickle of water almost stops), I'm always afraid that I won't be able to wash the shampoo off my head.
Except that I have to constantly turn on the tap to adjust the constantly changing temperature.

So, that's how we live now here.

steem.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
