Self-portraits for self-love! (Original photos!)

I've always been someone who is closer to hating myself, than loving myself. Even after I started shedding a lot of weight I still felt ugly. After years of bullying, and a lack of love from others and from myself, it was always easier to choose to be behind the camera rather than in front of it.

But slowly I've been working on my self-love. Seeing how my photos of others could make them feel empowered and beautiful, I started putting myself in front of the camera more often. It's not a selfie-thing, trying to get likes, or like here; upvotes. It's always for my own sake, to see the beauty I harness.

Sure, a lot of the photos show sides of me I'm not proud of. I just can't see the beauty in all of them. But I still save everyone of them to maybe one day be able to look at them with new eyes. And the ones I do love, where I do feel beautiful and empowered - those photos I'm not afraid to show to the world.

I'm a curvy woman, many pounds heavier than the current ideal - but I am beautiful. I am sexy. And I am worthy.

So days when I feel really low I put on some nice clothes or find a nice spot outside and I try to capture what I need to remember about myself. My beauty, and my worth. And days when I feel great I do the same - to remember that feeling on days that are worse.

Here I am - celebrate with me! We are all so beautiful - the body is amazing - and the soul is beyond words. Celebrate your Self!
