RE: What Have We Become?
Wow, that’s quite a profound take. You’re right — peace is far more than the absence of war, and maybe that’s why it feels so elusive. But do you think the so-called higher beings (leaders, intellectuals, policymakers) are even ready to reflect at that level? Or even the general population — how many people can honestly think like you do?
If most of our behavior is unconscious, as you say, then what’s inevitable? Do we keep repeating the same patterns, or is there a chance for us to evolve beyond them?
Evolution is something like creation-in-progress: only God knows, where it leads to.
We dare to hope there is a chance for us. But we can not know.
Maybe mankind comes to its end - nature / universe will not.
Maybe some day nature goes to its end - God will not.
So, all wars will surely come to an end in fulfilled peace.
