Introduceyourself: Hi, I'm Soraya

Hi there,

I’m Soraya and welcome to my blog!

I made this blog to share my thoughts and ideas with this incredible community. I have a few important missions that I want to spend my life pursing - in no particular order: travelling the world, challenging myself through sports and also exploring how Industry 4.0 & blockchain will change the lives of us and communities around the world forever.

I live in London, England, and I have lived the majority of my life in this amazing city. I also spent 18 months living and working in Prague, Czech Republic which was an amazing opportunity. I am dual heritage - I am Jamaican, Scottish & German. I am a marketing professional, with a Masters in Business & Marketing from Warwick Business School, yet spend most of my time researching the growing technology space.

This is a selfie of me, in a helicopter over Niagara Falls! I love to travel the world, some destinations I have visited recently are Paris, Marrakech, Lisbon, Toronto, Ibiza and Geneva. I usually travel with my friends, family, boyfriend or by myself. This has given me the opportunity to learn about other cultures and share these experiences with people around me.

This is a picture of me mid hike in Devon, the coast south east of England. I am a keen athlete and like to dabble in different sports - from running to golf to pilates. I have cycled from London to Paris and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (although I fell very ill at 4500m up!). I enjoy sports because it is a chance to mentally and physically challenge myself, and be thankful for my health in order to achieve these tasks. It also helps that I am dating one of the top performance nutritionists, so I get lots of tips on how to improve my performance and reach my athletic goals.

Finally, I believe the blockchain and Industry 4.0 will empower and change the lives of millions of people. It will have multiple uses and benefits to society, but I am particularly interested in how it impacts on education, art and the retail industry - all of which I hope to explore, muse and debate with this community!
