Does the Java era end?

Is Java finally dead? There has been much discussion about the end of Java. As a developer, do you need to care? How do you need to change your decisions in the case that Java is dead?
Apparently Oracle, who now own Java, think it’s smart to sue Google for using Java stuffs.

Oracle, in a blog post, said:Modern web browser manufacturers are limiting and reducing the support for plugins in their products.For this reason, developers of Java-based applications (based on the browser extension) need to consider switching to Java Web Start without Java plug-ins. "
A big platform like java can not be destroyed so quickly.This is my idea.
