The Joe Louis Arena

On any hot day you can find most bikers here. The Joe Louis Arena famously named after former heavyweight champion boxer Joe Louis, who grew up in Detroit. It is one of the most popular and historically iconic arenas in American history placed in the heart of the city of Detroit. Right off the Detroit river front and under the shadow the of GM Renaissance Center this arena housed some of the most historic events such as the 32nd NHL All-Star Game and the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This year the Red Wings' played their final game at Joe Louis Arena on April 9, 2017.
